Shoe Assemblies
The primary sealing element
The Shoe Assembly is the heart of the HYCOA JR-33 zero-leakage sealing system. Each shoe consists of a precision-machined sealing pad bonded to an elastomeric backing that conforms to the valve seat surface, creating a positive metal-to-elastomer seal with no internal bypass.
When to Replace
- Visible wear, scoring, or deformation on the sealing face
- Elastomer cracking, hardening, or chemical degradation
- Leakage detected at the sealing interface during operation
- Increased operating torque or resistance during transfer
- Scheduled replacement at recommended maintenance intervals

Standard — petroleum-based lube oils, hydraulic fluids
High-temperature or chemically aggressive service

Seal Kits
Complete elastomeric rebuild kits
HYCOA JR-33 Seal Kits (Soft Parts Kits) contain every elastomeric sealing component needed for a complete valve rebuild in a single, pre-packaged kit. Using a complete kit ensures all seals are replaced simultaneously — eliminating the risk of an older seal failing shortly after a partial rebuild.
When to Replace
- Any time the valve is opened for internal inspection
- Scheduled maintenance intervals (typically every 2–5 years depending on service)
- After exposure to fluids outside the elastomer's chemical compatibility range
- Following a system upset, overpressure event, or thermal excursion
- When replacing Shoe Assemblies — replace all seals at the same time

Internal Stack Assembly
Complete internal replacement
The Internal Stack Assembly is the complete modular internal mechanism of the HYCOA JR-33 transfer valve. It integrates the operating shaft, upper and lower sealing pads, slide/link assemblies, sleeves, separator plate, and all sealing elements into a single removable unit — allowing the entire internal mechanism to be replaced without removing the valve body from the piping.
When to Replace
- Wear or damage to the operating shaft or slide/link assemblies
- Sealing pad surface damage beyond what shoe replacement can address
- Extended service life with multiple rebuild cycles
- Cost-effective alternative to individual component repair in severe service
- Valve returning from long-term storage or unknown service history
