What is a 6-Way Opposite-Side transfer valve?

A 6-Way Opposite-Side transfer valve has the common inlet on one side of the valve body and both equipment-train outlets on the opposite side. This configuration suits installations where the supply line and the two equipment trains approach from opposite directions.

What sizes are available?

Available in 1½", 2", 3", 4", and 6" with ANSI Class 150 or Class 300 flanged connections.

How does opposite-side porting differ from same-side?

In the same-side configuration all three connections (inlet + two outlets) are on the same face. In the opposite-side configuration the inlet is on one face and the two outlets are on the opposite face, which can simplify piping when the supply and equipment trains approach from different directions.

Opposite-Side Porting — Flexible Installation

The 6-Way Opposite-Side configuration places the common inlet on one face of the valve body and both equipment-train outlets on the opposite face. This suits installations where the supply header and the two equipment trains (filters, coolers, or pumps) approach from opposite directions, reducing the need for elbows and crossover piping.

The positive mechanical shoe-seal system provides true zero-leakage shutoff in both positions. Changeover is accomplished without shutdown, pressure loss, or the need for spectacle blinds.
